About Fulton Heights

Fulton Heights is one of the older neighborhoods in Grand Rapids, lying between Heritage Hill and East Grand Rapids. Even though the Fulton Heights area extends from Eastern Ave to Plymouth Ave, the neighborhood association’s boundaries are Fuller Ave, Michigan Ave, Fulton St, and Plymouth Ave. The neighborhood association proactively works with both the Fulton Heights & Michigan Ave Business Districts. Fulton Square and the Farmer’s Market are just a few features of this area.

One delightful centerpiece is the  Hillcrest Community Garden, which is one of the largest community gardens in Michigan and is a contributing factor to the neighborhood’s desirability.  As proud owners of the garden, the Fulton Heights Neighborhood Association, with the guidance of the Garden Committee, serves as stewards for the garden’s future, and administers the use of the garden, to ensure that both long-time participants and eager new gardeners have opportunities to participate in one of the true treasures of the city of Grand Rapids.
