Eastown, Grand Rapids… A Neighborhood Like No Other!

It’s Grand Rapids hippest neighborhood, where the area’s character is reflected in an eclectic mix of specialty shops and galleries, restaurants, coffee houses, entertainment venues, and businesses that cater to the needs of area residents and visitors.
Eastown is a progressive and diverse community, with well-planted family roots and college-town contemporary freshness. You’ll find friendly people who both work and live here because they love Eastown’s unique character.
Located just five minutes east of downtown Grand Rapids Eastown is easily accessible by Public Transportation (Bus Route 6), by car or on foot. Parking is available in three city lots or on the street.
The Eastown Business Association
The Eastown Business Association (EBA) is a membership organization comprised of retailers, restaurant owners, business owners, landlords and others with an interest in preserving and enhancing the unique qualities of Eastown. EBA members are active in the development and promotion of the Eastown Business District and works with the City of Grand Rapids to coordinate city services throughout the district. The EBA also works with the Grand Rapids Police Community Service Officer and the Eastown Community Association to coordinate neighborhood improvement programs for both the business district and residential areas.
The EBA keeps business members and others informed through its website, Facebook Page, monthly emails, Annual Meeting, Committee Meetings, and otherwise as needed. Leadership is provided by a volunteer board of directors. The EBA has six active committees: Executive, Communications, Marketing, Property and Commercial Development, Special Events, and Streetscape. The Special Events and Streetscape Committees function jointly with the Eastown Community Association (ECA).
